'Sex Education', is a series on Netflix comprising of 8 episodes. It features ASA Butterfield (Otis), Ncuti Gatwa (Eric), Emma Mackey (Maeve) and Gillian Anderson (Dr Jean). The show revolves around Otis giving sex advice to students at his school, while at home his mother is always trying to connect with him, trying to answer why he is sexually incompetent, (his mother is a Sexual Therapist).
While trying to have the ‘best time ever’ at Sixth Form, Otis and Eric have a rollercoaster of a journey at Sixth Form, as Otis sets up a sex clinic as a business which  Maeve suggests. While all Eric wants to do is to try to become popular and fit in.

However, through their time at school, Eric gets punched to the face due to his sexuality ( he is gay),  becomes isolated, this behaviour gets him suspended from school. While Otis grows to like Maeve (who has been hooking up with the head boy named Jackson), the two of them grow apart as they have not been spending time together as Eric realises that Otis wants to spend time with Maeve more than him!
The pair (Otis and Eric) realise they miss each other and forgive each other towards the end of the series, but Sex Education is more than just the friendship between the two guys and the possible relationship with Maeve.

'Sex Education' is a great show as it showcases different issues such as sexuality, self-esteem, confidence, encouragement, friendships and its pitfalls as well as making people aware about sexual education.
I can not recommend this series enough as there are so many twists and turns which keep you gripped, combining comedy with the seriousness of real life! I feel like this is the first series to answer all the questions that you have been thinking about and were afraid to ask, I cannot wait for the second series! It is unlike anything that I have even watched before, it’s just so fun, genuine and heartwarming!
